RAFAEL ARVILLA JIMÉNEZ
Rafael Arvilla Jiménez was born in 'Puerto de Santa María', Cádiz (Spain), on January 23, 1,928.
His junior years are spent at 'Colegio del Pilar' in Madrid.
In 1,957 graduates as an Arquitect from the 'Escuela Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid' and in 1,963 he recieves his PhD.
In 1,958 he marries Marie Fançoise Cure Berger, of French nationality. From this marriage Carolina, Patricia, Rafael, Cayetana and Javier were born and on February 2,002 Javier was tragically killed in a traffic accident.
In 1,961 he moves, with his family, to Marbella in the province of Málaga, where he continues his professional career. He was the first arquitect to establish himself in what used to be a small town on the andalusian coast, where he continues witnessing first hand the making of one of the gratest tourist resorts in the world.

PhD. IN ARQUITECTURE
His passion for the arts in general and painting in particular, that follows him since his childhood, merged with his professional life, and allowed to make hundreds of paintings and portraits.
He has entered numerous art contests since 1,956, year when he wins the first price for posters for the easter week in Cartagena, Murcia.
He founded his own art gallery in the heart of Marbella appropriatedly called 'ART' where he has exposed his paintings along with renonwed artists such as 'Serrano'.
He utilizes the spatula with oil based paints with absolute domain and with motives centered in landscapes, portraits, and urban scenes. He uses both acrilic and oil paints as well as a mixed technique. This allows him to complete the painting that surround the main scene, without sacrificing the focus of the painting, while maintaining his style and form.
